Mayday Trust recently published Wisdom from Behind Closed Doors, an enquiry capturing the voices of people living in supported accommodation. The results highlighted the urgent need for a more person-led, human and positive approach to housing that allows people to take control and sustainably move on into a stable and connected community environment.
In response, Mayday is radically shaking up the norm and embarking upon an exciting new challenge; testing and informing a new way of working with people living in Mayday accommodation.
Mayday is now looking for Housing Officers who are passionate about tackling social injustice, are tenacious and energetic in their approach and willing to challenge and be challenged to make housing work for people.

This is a fantastic opportunity for four like-minded people to join the Mayday Housing Team, operating within the Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire areas.

Bringing this fresh mind-set and approach alongside an ability to report confidently and accurately, Housing Officers will manage Mayday’s Housing to ensure people live in safe, good quality homes and are able to live comfortably without the burden of disputes, debt and arears.
Despite the traditional label, this role has never been done in this way before. Mayday welcomes applicants with experience in working within a housing environment, but we are also looking for those who resonate with the Mayday ethos and believe that the system needs to change.
