The PTS Response and Mental Health

Sometimes life can throw us challenges we weren’t expecting and we find our mental health isn’t where we’d like it to be, but that’s ok. We can find ourselves met with overstretched services and support systems taking a one size fits all approach that sadly doesn’t feel like it fits our needs. Support can feel over-medicalised, or deficit focused making it more difficult to move past trauma that can leave us feeling trapped in systems and circumstances we are keen to transition beyond.

Why strengths-based response to mental health?

Through using the PTS Response, Coaches can build a rapport with someone wanting to improve their mental health and well-being, find out what matters to them and walk alongside them as they reshape their future. Strength-based coaching starts with a relationship and builds on a foundation of trust combing three kinds of support:

  • Strengths-based coaching on your terms
  • Connecting community and personal budgets
  • Support to challenge and change what doesn’t work
