The PTS Transitions Pilot Launches in Haringey

Mayday Trust is delighted to be working with Haringey Council to provide two PTS Coaches to work alongside people in the area who are going through tough times.

This is a new way of working with people, offering a ‘no strings attached’ response based on listening to their experiences and creating an environment where they can take control and focus on what they would like to achieve.

The Haringey PTS Transitions Pilot is part of a two-year project funded by Lankelly Chase Foundation and allows Mayday and Haringey Council to offer the opportunity for anyone experiencing a tough time to work alongside a PTS Coach without a referral or encountering the more traditional stipulations and restraints.

At the heart of the PTS Transitions Pilot is the understanding that tough times are part of the fabric of life which we all experience and poses the question –  if you transition “into” tough times – surely you can transition “out of” them too?

What is the PTS?

Life can have its ups and downs and gaining access to what you want in order to get through a tough time can be hard. It can feel like you don’t have any control.

The Person-led, Transitional and Strength-based Response (PTS) in its simplest form is a way of responding to tough times.

Working alongside a PTS Coach can be a way to take back control, to make sure you are listened to and overcome the barriers that stand between you and the future you want.

A PTS Coach…

Will listen and create the space and opportunity for you to explore what matters to you, your strengths and aspirations.

Will meet in a place where you feel comfortable and at a time that works for you.

Will walk alongside you as you build positive relationships and networks within the communities that you want to be part of.

Does this sound like it could work for you?
